Finding the Perfect Niche
By Peter Lim
Our aim in Internet marketing is to provide gratification to others in need by way of a product or a service, and getting paid in the process. Therefore, our duty is to find those lucrative niches where we can provide the service or the product that can alleviate and solve other people’s problems.
Our main aim is to uncover those things and services that people are in need for — “desperate” need — and these will then become our hot niches to concentrate on in our marketing.
One of the best ways to uncover niches is to perform a Google search with the following questions in the search box:
- How to
- Learn to
- Guide to
- Report on
- Painful
- Overcome…
- Solve problem for…
…and so on.
Of course, you can use the Google Keyword Tool to search for niches. Another way is to get the eBay Hot Categories Report where you can gather a lot more information on products and services advertised by others.
The site About.com is also a good place for you to check for the hottest niches.
Many people refer to Wikipedia for news and information, making it an authoritative site that can help many discover niches.
You can also study trends of products and services by making use of the very powerful and enlightening tool Google Trends. It lets you plot and study the terms and keywords Google users have searched for.
No matter what approach you take, the success of your Internet marketing hinges on your ability to meet desperate demand. When you are able to meet and satisfy that demand in a timely manner at a reasonable price, you will achieve a measure of success in Internet marketing.
